As soon as you spot it in your system, find where exactly it is hiding and remove it on the spot. If you leave it be, sooner or later the utility will get out of hand and then you will have much harder time dealing with it.
Do not sit idly by while MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar is doing whatever it wants. This is your machine! You are the one responsible for its well-being. And MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar is not good for your PC. It only causes problems which grow in both numbers and severity which each passing day. Why tolerate the PUP`s shenanigans? The pest will never be beneficial to you in any sort of way. On the very contrary. So, do yourself a favor and remove it as soon as possible. Keeping it will lead to tons of regrets. Locate it and delete it. This is the best course of action you can take.
MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar is an ad-supported program. This means that in order to prolong its existence, the PUP has to generate pay-per-click revenue for its owners. How do you suppose it does that? By bombarding you with ads, of course. You get flooded with tons of commercials in all shapes and forms and every time you click on one, the crooks get paid. They get even better paid for every shady page you get redirected to and, believe us, you get redirected a lot. Surfing the web normally is no longer possible. You suffer a never-ending pile of interruptions and finding what you are looking for online becomes an impossible task. What is more, the PUP replaces your default search engine and all of your search results are now provided by a customized version of Yahoo.
Bear in mind that nothing you see on your screen is reliable anymore. Your search results included. They are not the most accurate but the most profitable. Dodgy sites pay hefty sums for their lings to be displayed at the top. Also, the PUP injects your results with fake entries which are actually adverts but are not marked as such. Either way, you click, hackers get paid. You can never be sure which links are safe and which are corrupted. The only way to tell them apart is to click but if you happen to click on the wrong one, you help crooks get rick and you risk downloading more malware on your already compromised and underperforming machine. Trust nothing you see as long as MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar is on board. The only way to get rid of the ads and redirects is to get rid of the PUP altogether. Don’t hesitate, do it! Things will only worsen if you don’t.
How did you get stuck with MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar? The PUP has an official download at the Chrome Web Store but we doubt that you downloaded it voluntarily. And yet, there it is making a complete mess of your machine. How did it enter? Well, the most commonly used method is called freeware bundling. The PUP probably arrived bundled to another program. If you don’t pay attention during installation processes, you may be surprised to see that some additional apps have been installed on your PC.
You have to be more careful and you have to take your time to read what you are allowing to enter your computer. For the purpose, don’t use the Standard settings when installing programs. Under them, all “bonus” apps get installed automatically. Go with the Advanced options. They allow you to see and deselect all extras. Do that. If you truly needed these programs you would have downloaded them by now. Don’t let hacker fool you. Do your due diligence.
