Some of the most popular tricks are freeware and shareware bundles as well as copies of licensed products. Be extra careful when installing programs off the web. Especially if they are free. Opt for the Custom settings in the Setup Wizard instead of the Basic ones. Crooks often attach their malicious apps to other programs and under the customized settings you will be able to see these extras and deselect them.
