Other than this PUP, there is nothing wrong with your PC. Do not reach out to them. Do not call any numbers. If you do, they will keep feeding you lies. They will try tricking you into purchasing some safe anti-virus program to help you deal with non-existent infections. Non-existent! Remember that. These cybercriminals just want your money. There is nothing wrong with your machine. The only infection you need to worry about is this lying PUP. Be smarter and look past the smoke and mirrors. Do not contact these “specialist” and do not buy anything they offer. You will only worsen your predicament.
What you need to do as soon as possible is to remove the PUP feeding you these lies. Once it is gone, the Warning pop-ups will stop appearing. How did you end up with this infections? It didn’t appear out of the blue. It was installed and you were the one who installed it. Before you start wondering when you did this, let us tell you that the pest duped you. It didn’t ask for approval openly, stating it is a dangerous infection. It came disguised and you were not able to see it for what it is. Run the Task Manager by right clicking on the Taskbar and choosing Start Task Manager.
Look carefully at the file names and descriptions of the running processes. If you find any suspicious one, search on Google for its name, or contact me directly to identify it. If you find a malware process, right-click on it and choose End task.
Open Control Panel by holding the Win Key and R together. Write appwiz.cpl in the field, then click OK.
Here, find any program you had no intention to install and uninstall it.
Open MS Config by holding the Win Key and R together. Type msconfig and hit Enter.
Go in the Startup tab and Uncheck entries that have “Unknown” as Manufacturer.
