I wrote this article to help you remove Content Push News. This Content Push News removal guide is working for all Windows versions.
Content Push News has been classified as a browser extension of the browser hijacker type. Once installed on your computer, it immediately places it at security risk by flooding the monitor with tones of pop-up ads the minute you open your web browser. All these advertisements constantly disturb your online experience and make your browsing sessions almost impossible. For that reason, the best thing you can do is removing Content Push News from your PC as soon as you notice its presence.
The main purpose of the Content Push News developers is making easy money by using the internet. This is the so called “pay-per-click method”, which is exploited by browser hijacker developers. In fact, this is just the way that Content Push News works. The more clicks an ad receives, the greater the profit the developers gain. That is the reason why you see so many ads on your monitor. In this case, the only way to get rid of the numerous pop-ups is to remove Content Push News from your computer at once.
Content Push News belongs to the category of PUPs (potentially unwanted program). There are not as harmful as Trojans, though it should not be kept on your PC. What you need to know is that clicking on any of the adverts provided by Content Push News, may redirect your browser to some kind of a malicious, virus-infested page which could threaten your virtual security. For that reason, if you notice pop-up ads on your monitor, just don’t click on any part of them. Instead – remove the intrusive add-on and get rid of all intrusive pop-ups immediately.
Among the most common methods used by Content Push News to infiltrate your computer include torrent sites, file-sharing site, as well as the spam e-mails – a favorite method for distributing all sorts of unwanted and sometimes even malicious software. All of the aforementioned, though, are quite often ineffective, especially if people use their common sense when browsing the internet.
Nevertheless, there’s one method that seems to be pretty successful due to the fact that most users don’t like customizing the installation settings when installing new software on their computers. This method is named “program-bundling” and it comes down to Content Push News being bundled with another third-party program. Being installed on your computer, you get the intrusive browser hijacker as well. The way to prevent this from happening is to always go for the advanced installation settings. There, you can see what added content there is and leave out of the installation anything that you think may prove to be unwanted.
Be aware that Content Push News might enter your PC under a different name, thus you should look carefully through the list of added programs. If you’re not sure, you might as well uncheck everything before proceeding with the actual installation. Besides, you should keep your antimalware security tool up to date at all times, in order to keep your system safe from various computer infections.
