How to Remove Aerojet (Chrome/Firefox)

I wrote this article to help you remove Aerojet. This Aerojet removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Aerojet is a browsing enhancement tool. The program is based around search suggestions. It promises to improve your results by showing you better pages. The suggestions are supposed to correspond to your queries. This may not be the case. Aerojet does not work for the end users. The tool’s priority is the betterment of its creators. The proposed results are supported. They lead to sponsored web pages. The proprietors of Aerojet get paid to forward users to third party websites. A lot of online advertisers use the services of third party programs. The problem with this relationship is that the end user is left out of the picture. Because of its questionable security, Aerojet has been labeled an adware program.

How can Aerojet pose a threat to my security?

The shady program uses the pay-per-click system to raise revenue. The goal is to have users click on sponsored links. Doing so generates proceeds for the owners of Aerojet. The main way to attract users to supported content is through the search result pages. The adware does not select results to suggest. The owners of the rogue program accept offers from advertisers, looking to popularize their websites. The paying parties may be reliable companies, but they can also be cyber criminals. A lot of malware distributors use the services of adware tools to lure people to their domains. Entering an infected web page can compromise your computer severely. You can contact all kinds of spyware from a corrupted website. We advise you to stay away from unconfirmed advertisements.

The ads Aerojet displays can be deceptive. The furtive program can show you misleading content to garner your interest. The adware focuses on bargain shopping offers, like discounts, rebates, coupons, sales, freebies and other exclusive deals. The listed offers can be for technological devices, household appliances, clothes, accessories, furniture, decorations, sports gear, games and other consumer goods. Clicking on the ads can redirect you to websites which do not contain the listed deals. The pages you land on could infect your system with viruses.

The other problem around Aerojet is even more severe. The insidious program has the ability to track users’ browsing sessions. It will record your history, cookies, keystrokes, country of origin, email, IP address, telephone number, demographic details, user credentials and other private input. The people behind the adware can sell your data on dark markets without asking for your permission or notifying you. The people who acquire your personal information may have criminal intentions.

How did Aerojet get installed to my machine?

Aerojet is advertised on its official website, The website does not provide a download link for the tool. You have not acquired Aerojet per your own decision. The shady tool was able to sneak into your computer somehow. The most common distribution source are bundles. The adware travels with freeware, shareware and pirated applications. Its setup file would be merged with the installer of the main program from the bundle. You have to find the option for an extra program in the terms and conditions and deselect it. Always take the time to read the end user license agreement (EULA).

The other entry point for Aerojet is provided by spam emails. The clandestine program will be hidden behind a file, attached to the letter. The sender will try to get you to open it, stating it is an important piece of documentation. He can write on behalf of a reliable company or entity to lead you astray. Be sure to check the contacts from the message before accessing attached files or following instructions. The email should have been sent from an official account of the organization in question. Consult its public website for references.
