It damages files and programs. It takes a lot of CPU memory which slows down your computer. Some older machines could even shut down completely. Also, the Trojan hijacks your browsing experience by forcing a myriad of ads and redirects your way. It serves as a back door to other infections, mostly to ransomware. Getting infected with the other most dangerous virus is not something that you would like. Moreover, the Trojan spies on you.
Taskeng.exe has access to your personal information. It monitors your every online move. It can also use keylogging to see what you type or show hackers what it on your monitor. It can even turn on your web camera to spy on your in real time. And like this is not enough, the Trojan could even go as far as to give hackers remote control over your PC. If this happens, the cybercriminals may use your computer for whatever they want. They can distribute malware with it, or turn it into a part of a botnet. Either way, nothing good could come out of hosting this parasite. And what is worse, you can never know exactly what the Trojan is programmed to do. Whatever it is, though, it is not for your benefit. That’s why it is crucial to delete this pest immediately and not give it enough time to completely wreck your system. Use our removal guide below and get rid of the infection once and for all.
How did you get infected with the Taskeng.exe Trojan? Unsurprisingly, the parasite relies on trickery and deceit to enter your system. It hides behind spam emails or corrupted pages. It hitched a ride with freeware bundles or pretends to be a fake program update. For example, you may think you are updating Java while, in fact, you are installing an infection. What can protect you from this is caution.
None of the above-mentioned tricks would work without your negligence. Crooks rely on it. Otherwise, they could never get your permission. Don’t grant it. Don’t be careless. Read carefully what you agree to before pressing OK. The only way to protect your machine is by being extra vigilant. The web is full of infection, waiting for you to make the wrong move. Don’t.
