If you find SharePal.exe on your computer, prepare for some bad news. This process is a clear indication that a PUP has invaded your computer. But don’t let the title mislead you. There is nothing potential about the danger it can cause you. This malicious parasite is programmed to bombard you with a large number of shady advertisements. You will notice that they will be specifically designed to be more attractive to you. That’s all thanks to the PUP’s ability to monitor every step you make while online.
SharePal.exe can also obtain your browser history, habits and search queries as well, and use this data to its advantage by customizing the ads, so they are more likely to get clicked by you. The more adverts it produces, the better the chance of the victim clicking on them and thus a pay-per-click revenue is created for the hackers and the promoted pages. The only thing you gain is a hell of a headache while dealing with the consequences of the PUP’s presence. That’s why you need to proceed with its immediate removal as soon as you detect it on your PC.
The thing with SharePal.exe is, that it cannot invade without permission. You see, it needs your approval to get installed on your PC. Most commonly, its infiltration has happened without you realizing it. If you often opt for a Quick install, it is very possible that it sneaked its way through there. How? By choosing this installation mode, you are unable to view the full content of what you’re about to allow on your computer.
Many software bundles contain optional installations that the user has no knowledge of. To be able to see such additional software, we strongly suggest selecting Custom or Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard, so no programs or apps stay hidden from you and if such are available, to easily deselect them. Other means of distribution include spam emails and attachments, torrent files, dubious links and ads, as well as fake update requests.
If you neglect the presence of the SharePal.exe, you risk this parasite taking full control over the browser, as well as getting its hands on sensitive information such as but not limited to passwords, Login ID, IP addresses, bank account credentials, credit card numbers, etc. The longer you allow this PUP to stay on your computer unattended, the worse its effect will be.
By generating so many adverts, the number of which will increase swiftly, this malicious software will cause your browser to crash and freeze on a regular basis. Not to mention, that this inevitably will lead to it not being able to work properly, and consequently disabling you from doing any kind of work online. That’s why you must not waste any more time. Act against this nasty PUP and secure your online presence once again.
