I wrote this article to help you remove Search.romandos.com. This Search.romandos.com removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Seeing the Search.romandos.com site every time you open one of your browsers is not good. The page is a clear sign of troubles to come. It indicates the presence of a browser hijacker in your system. That’s right, there is a nasty hijacker lurking somewhere on your machine and the Search.romandos.com page is its way of cluing you in. Heed that warning! Hijackers make for horrible tenants. They are invasive, irritating, stealthy, and hazardous. The one you are stuck with is not an exception. If you give it enough time on board, it will make a complete mess of your browsing activities.
What is even worse, the pest jeopardizes your privacy. It starts spying on you from the moment it enters. It monitors your every online move and has access to your IPs, email addresses, usernames, passwords, accounts, browser-related data, etc. It can even get its hands on your personally identifiable and financial credentials. What do you think happens next? Everything the hijacker collects it sends to the hackers who published it.
Cybercriminals receive full access to your private life and they won`t hesitate to use all the information they have for their malicious purposes. Do not let that scenario unfold. Track the hijacker down and delete it immediately. The sooner you get rid of it, the better for both you and your machine.
This pest enters your PC behind your back but once in, you cannot miss its presence. It all starts with your browsing which changes significantly and not for the better. The hijacker adds a pesky plugin which is perfectly compatible with all of your browsers. It doesn’t matter which one you prefer to use, they are all infected. The parasite injects them with ads. From now on, every page that you open it completely covered with numerous commercials in all shapes and forms. This is more than just annoying, it is also dangerous as these ads cannot be trusted and most of them are corrupted and deliver more malware.
Aside from the above-mentioned, your previous homepage and search engine are gone and the Search.romandos.com page is in their places. You cannot surf the web without the site`s “assistance”. It is everywhere. The problem is it mostly shows you compromised links which lead to shady pages, full of infections which you can get with a single click. Imagine getting any online work done under such conditions. It is impossible.
Surfing the web at peace is impossible as well. You are always a single click away from more infections. Do not forget about the privacy threat too. Don’t tolerate this. Remove the hijacker immediately. Follow our removal guide at the end of this article to do so manually.
How did the infection enter your computer without you noticing, though? The answer is simple. The pest took advantage of your distraction and tricked you. This is how hijackers travel. They need your permission to enter, that’s a fact. And even though they do not go around this rule, they do bend it. The hijacker still asks for approval but it does it in the sneakiest way possible. Otherwise, you would never give it green light. This is why caution is crucial.
You have to be on the alert 24/7. Do not throw caution to the wind. Be careful which pages you visit, what download sources you use, what you click on, etc. Do not open emails from unknown senders and do not download their attachments. Always read the Terms and Conditions before accepting them. Don’t give into carelessness. It leads to nothing but infections. What doesn’t lead to infections is vigilance.
