If you frequently see the White-canary.com website. It means that you have adware on your computer. This page is a clear indication that a malicious application has infected your browser. Adware is capable of compromising your web security. It can easily obtain private data such as but not limited to browsing history, habits or searches. With this information, it will be able to generate suitable advertisements that the user will most likely to click on.

What’s the purpose of those ads? To create pay-per-click revenue. As if getting your screen flooded with adverts and pop-ups was not enough, you may also notice the presence of newly installed extensions, add-ons or toolbars on your browser. They have been installed by the adware itself, without your knowledge or consent. Their goal is to assist the cyber parasite in its malicious plans.

Adware is commonly spread through spam email messages, email attachments and executable files, software bundling, fake update requests, etc. If you download software from the internet, we recommend choosing Custom or Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard. Why? Because often developers repackage apps or programs and bundle them along with malware that will not be properly disclosed.

This way, if you follow our advice, you will be able to view the full contents of the software you want to install. If you notice any additional programs or applications, chances are, they are malware in disguise. You can easily deselect them through this installation mode.

It’s important for users to know that adware is not something they would want to have on their PC. Malicious software such as this one is a real threat to your online security and privacy. Ads generated by this annoying parasite may reroute you to suspicious and even dangerous third-party websites. You may think that you’re clicking om a trustworthy ad that promotes an exclusive sale you are interested in, but you may be far from the truth.

With just one click, you may unintentionally and unknowingly open a backdoor for hackers that seek to steal your personal data and share it with other people for profit. What’s more, the ad traffic, generated by the adware will only increase over time. Your browser will eventually fail to work properly and start to crash or freeze unexpectedly. You will not be able to do any kind of work on your browser. That’s why you need to remove this harmful parasite from your computer as soon as possible. The longer you delay its removal, the worse the consequences of its stay will get.
