I wrote this article to help you remove Websearch.thesearchpage.info. This Websearch.thesearchpage.info removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Websearch.thesearchpage.info belongs to the category of the browser hijackers because as soon as it enters your PC, it makes various modifications to the system without asking you for any permission.
First, the program will modify your default homepage and search engine, but this is definitely not everything the hijacker will do. Actually, Websearch.thesearchpage.info will make all changes it feels like making, without asking for your permission at all. In this way, your virtual security might be seriously threatened, so you’d better delete the hijacker from your computer as soon as possible.
Most often, Websearch.thesearchpage.info infiltrates your PC by hiding behind fake system or some program updates. It even might makes you think that you’re installing a Java or a Flash update, while, in fact, you are letting a hijacker in.
Almost the same thing happens when it comes to new freeware. During the installation process, computer users usually are not much careful because they are in a hurry to complete the setup and agree to all the terms and conditions provided by the program without even reading them. In this way, users end up with the hijacker on their systems. Besides, you should keep in mind that Websearch.thesearchpage.info can also enter the system undetected by using some corrupted links, corrupted websites, or spam email attachments.
Once Websearch.thesearchpage.info has infected your PC, there are a few frustrating and dangerous things you’ll have to deal with. The first of them is the fact that when the hijacker infects the computer, the add-on is no longer bound to ask for your permission before implementing any modifications. This means that constant changes will be made to your system without your knowledge or permission. However, this is not the main problem you’ll have to deal with.
What you should know is that Websearch.thesearchpage.info will monitor and store your virtual activity all the time. After the program collects all the data it needs, Websearch.thesearchpage.info will send it to the unknown third parties hidden behind the hijacker. This data will include all of your browsing activities, i.e. your web searches, IP address, and any personal and financial information you might have shared online – for instance, your name, phone number, bank account, etc. Be aware, that the shared data might be used for malicious purposes, thus what you should do in this case is to remove Websearch.thesearchpage.info from your PC as you notice it.
The good news here is that the Websearch.thesearchpage.info removal is not a hard process. You can delete the application either manually, or automatically. In case you need any assistance with the removal process, you can follow the manual instructions provided bellow this article.
