Malware researchers have found a connection between the Secassingly.club redirects and adware. If this website keeps popping up on your screen, it means that nasty adware has managed to infiltrate your browser. The consequences of such an invasion are serious.
Adware can obtain your personal information such as but not limited to browsing history, habits and search queries. The purpose of such data is to help the parasite customize the advertisements, so they are more appealing, and thus the user is more likely to click on them. The more clicks are generated, the more profit there would be for the crooks behind the adware, and for the sponsored pages the parasite is promoting. But that’s not all. This cyber pest can freely install suspicious software on its victim’s computer, without bothering to ask for permission.
Adware often hides behind spam email messages, email attachments and executable files, fake update requests, free software bundles, torrent files, and infected links and ads. If you want to make sure that no malicious threat puts your security and privacy in jeopardy, apart from having a reliable AV software on your computer, you also need to pay better attention to what you click on while browsing the web.
Malware cannot hack its way on your PC. It needs your permission to invade, Yes, that’s right. You alone have the power to allow this parasite on your cyber machine. Hackers rely on your negligence and naivety to trick you into falling right in their trap without you even realizing it. Most commonly, this happens when you install software that you’ve downloaded from the internet. If you’re used to selecting a Quick install, you need to get rid of that habit right now.
Instead, opt for a Custom/Advanced type if installation. This will enable you to see if there is any bonus software that otherwise would stay hidden from you. If there are any optional installations, we strongly suggest that you opt out of them all, since they most likely are malware in disguise.
Sure, adware is not as dangerous as a Trojan Horse, for example. But that still does not mean that it is harmless. Adware can compromise your online privacy and security. Not to mention that your personal and financial data can fall not only in the hands of cyber criminals, but in other suspicious third-parties as well. You don’t want that, do you? Well, the longer you delay acting against this malicious parasite, the higher the chance of that happening gets.
