How did the nasty hijacker manage to enter? Do you often download free programs off of the web? Most users do. And when you install these programs, do you opt for the Standard or for the Advanced settings in the Setup Wizard? If your answer differs from the latter, change your habits. The Advanced options give you the opportunity to see if there are some additionally attached apps to the program you are installing as well as deselect them if you want. Do that.
Remove all extras before finishing the installation. More often than not, they are malicious and you do not need them in your system. If you did, you would have downloaded them yourself by now. Don’t let hackers dupe you. Be smart and vigilant. Keep your PC safe.
