How to Remove PROXYCHECK.EXE (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) | Updated

I wrote this article to help you remove PROXYCHECK.EXE. This PROXYCHECK.EXE removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

PROXYCHECK.EXE is a malicious process which is started by an adware infection. The adware, already in your system, is the one to start the process. This means that in order to stop it from running, you need to remove the adware completely. This is exactly what you should do. Adware parasites are unwanted. Yes, they cannot be compared to ransomware and Trojan horses when it comes to levels of danger, but they are no innocuous either.

The same rule applies for the PROXYCHECK.EXE adware. It is not harmless so do not underestimate it. The longer it stays on board, the more problems it will cause. These problems may start as small and insignificant but they grow in both numbers and severity with every single day. Cut the adware`s stay as short as possible. It will never be beneficial to you in any way. Get rid of it before it manages to cause you some irrevocable damage. These pests get out of control eventually and then things worsen. Do not let this happen. Do yourself a favor and clean your PC from this plague ASAP. Do not procrastinate and do not waste your time in debates. Delays lead to regrets.

Once the adware enters, everything changes. The nasty pest immediately appends a pesky extension to all of your browsers thus taking complete control over them. However, this is no good for you. It is not good for your browsing experience either. From now on, every time you go online you get bombarded with countless commercials. Ads in all shapes and forms appear all the time, covering your entire screen and blocking pages` content. Also, the adverts become more and more aggressive as time passes. Do you know why? Because the hackers need them. They use the adware to boost web traffic to specific sites and thus generate pay-per-click revenue. For every page you get redirected, crooks get paid. For every ad you click on, crooks get paid again. They use you as their sponsor. You fill their pockets. Yet, there is more.

As the adware has no verifying mechanism, nothing it displays can be trusted. Some of the pages you land on and the ads you are exposed to may have been compromised to deliver malware. If you click, you get infected. Do you want more parasites in your system? Your machine is already suffering and underperforming due to this single pest. Imagine what will happen if you get infected with more. Do not take such risk but find and delete the adware immediately. With it on board, you are contently interrupted and exposed to malware risk. Do not tolerate this and do not put up with the infection`s shenanigans. Once you get rid of it, everything will get back to normal. So do not hesitate. Use our removal guide below for manual deletion or download a good anti-malware app to get the job done for you. You have options. Choose one and act.

How did the pest enter? The nasty adware didn’t appear out of the blue. It probably arrived bundled with another app which you download off of the web but you weren’t careful during the installation process. Next time, don’t be careless but take your time and opt for the Custom settings in the Setup Wizard. Contrary to what more people say, they are not suitable for IT experts only. They just take more time but also allow you see all extra apps in the bundle which are about to be installed on your PC. They also allow you to remove those extras before finishing the installation. Do that. Such bonus programs and usually malicious. Don’t let them get on board.
