Perisbritneybig.ru belongs to the family of browser hijackers and, as a classic member, it won`t bring you any good. On the contrary! Hijackers are intrusive, annoying, useless and harmful. They lurk from the corners of your machine and mess with your settings. They make unauthorized reshuffles which you cannot change back. They slow down your PC and make your system crash. The longer you let it stay on board the more problems it will cause. This is why as soon as you spot the Perisbritneybig.ru page, start looking do the parasite. The hijacker uses the site as a front, it forces it on you. Perisbritneybig.ru is your clue that your machine is infected. Don’t ignore it. Things will only get worse.
Once the hijacker has entered it starts meddling immediately. What it does first is infecting all of your browsers leaving without a single reliable one to use. It adds a pesky extension which is perfectly compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer meaning you cannot switch between browsers either. Moreover, your homepage and search engine have now been replaced with the parasite`s domain. Of course, your approval was neither needed nor required. The hijacker makes changes as it sees fit. So, if you want to surf the web you are forced to use the Perisbritneybig.ru search engine. It goes without saying that this page is dangerous.
First of all, it was developed by crooks to serve their malicious purposes. Second, the page is incredibly annoying. You cannot get rid of it as you are constantly redirected back to it. And third, it doesn’t display safe search results. The only type of results it generates is sponsored. You know about sponsored links, don’t you? They cannot be trusted. Hackers use them for one reason only – to boost web traffic to particular sites and make money via the pay-per-click method. This means that you are sponsoring crooks only by keeping the hijacker on board. But what is worse is that you are jeopardizing your own safety in the process. Sponsored links often lead to shady pages brimming with malware. You can compromise your machine even more in no time. Stay away from this engine.
In fact, stay away from everything the hijacker throws your way. The redirects, the results, the ads, etc. Of course, there will be ads as well. This is a hijacker we are talking about. All kinds of irritating commercials will be covering your screen all the time. Banners, pop-ups, video ads. All of these are impossible to close. Whatever you do they keep showing up and blinking in front of you. Do you see how all of these interruptions or prevent you from using your PC at all. Surfing the web while having the pest on board is too much of a risk. And, when you add the security threat the Perisbritneybig.ru poses, it looks like you don’t even have one single reason to keep it. The parasite spies on you and collects your personal details. Not only that, though. It hands them off to the crooks behind it. Don’t waste any more time. Get rid of the pest now. To do so manually, use our removal guide at the end of this article.
And last but not least, once you delete the pest make sure it won`t come back. Or any other, for that matter. Infections need your permission to enter but they don’t need your active cooperation. Instead, they pray for your distraction and carelessness so they could successfully use their tricks. One of them, which is very effective, is bundled software. You have to be very careful when downloading and installing bundles.
For starters, don’t use unverified download sources. Second, DON`T rush the installation process. Opt for the Custom settings in the Setup Wizard instead of the Basic ones. This way you can see each program in the bundle and if any looks suspicious you can deselect it. Also, don’t skip the Terms and Conditions! Blindly pressing “I agree” and hoping for the best won`t help you. Actually, it will help the parasite to attack you. Be more vigilant when it comes to surfing the web. Infections are lurking from everywhere and what they all pray for is your negligence.
