Trojan Horses are infamous for their ability to severely damage any computer they infect. So if you’ve fallen victim to the Kolnixo.exe Trojan, prepare for some bad news. Like a typical Trojan Horse, this parasite is incredibly stealthy and versatile. The victim will be clueless that an infection has taken place since the virus will not necessarily get active the moment it invades. It might take some time until it activates. That’s why it will be hard to detect when a Trojan virus has infected your PC.
Once the malicious software starts to wreak havoc, you’ll notice it from symptoms like lagging, system errors, slow internet speed, abnormal browser behavior, online advert attack, etc. the purpose of the virus varies according to whatever the hackers need at the particular moment. The Trojan may serve as means to spy on the victim, to steal valuable information, to infect with other malicious threats, or to use the computer as a crypto mining machine. Either way, you won’t like the outcome of a Trojan Horse infection. Not even one bit. So the sooner you remove the threat, the better.
The most common means for a Trojan Horse distribution include spam email messages, email attachments and executable files, corrupted torrent files, fake update requests, infected links and ads, as well as software bundles. It is important to be careful what you click on while online. Diligence is key to having a secure browsing experience. Do not blindly trust a random update pop-up that urges you to follow a link in order to update a program on your computer. Instead, rely on official and licensed sources only, to update your software.
Also, when you’re about to install programs or applications on your computer, make sure to select Custom or Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard. This will give you the power to view the full content of what you’re about to install on your PC. If you notice any optional installations, we highly recommend that you deselect them, since malicious software can be often found disguised as bonus content that gets automatically installed without the user’s knowledge if they make the wrong decision to opt for a Quick install.
Trojan Horses are considered to be one of the most dangerous types of viruses out there. And with good reason. Through these parasites, there is no limit as to what the crooks can do. The malicious software can be used to spy on the victim – both virtually and physically. Hackers can monitor every move you make online, as well as spy on you through your web camera and microphone. No one wants that to happen to them. Not to mention that thanks to the virus, your personal and financial information is in jeopardy too!
Sensitive data such as but not limited to passwords, bank accounts, credit card numbers, IP addresses, Login ID, etc. can easily fall into the wrong hands. What’s more, cyber criminals can steal your online identity and commit cyber crimes in your name. Your computer system will suffer too! System errors, frequent crashes, lagging, file corruption – you will experience those as well if you continue to waste time and stay idle! You need to regain control over your cyber machine and remove this dangerous virus ASAP!
