I wrote this article to help you remove Kitty.exe Trojan. This Kitty.exe Trojan removal guide works for all Windows versions.
Do you know which cyber infection is considered the absolute worst one? Actually, there are two types of viruses that share the first place: ransomware and Trojan horses. Unfortunately, you are now stuck with the Kitty.exe pest which has been classified as a Trojan. However, even though Trojans and ransomware pieces have the same dreaded reputation, they operate in very different ways. While ransomware manifests its presence, encrypt your files, and drops a ransom note for you, Trojans work in the background in complete silence.
You may even not realize that your machine has been infected for weeks. There are some signs, though. Trojans take a lot of CPU memory which results in slowing down your machine. It may start to crash and freeze occasionally. Watch out for such sign and if you notice anything out of the ordinary, act immediately. A Trojan should never be underestimated. The pest is incredibly dangerous and it will cause you a ton of troubles.
Once on your machine, Kitty.exe starts making changes in your computer settings. Needless to say, your permission is requited for none of them. The virus act as it sees fit and your preferences are its last concern. Kitty alters your system registry and changes or completely damages some important files. As a result, you will find out that some of your programs won`t be able to run. And there is more. Kitty.exe also jeopardizes your privacy and threatens to expose it to crooks.
The Trojan spies on you. It grants its developers access to your IPs, email addresses, usernames, passwords, accounts, browser-related data, etc. Your every online move is being monitored by the parasites. Keep in mind that your personally identifiable and financial credentials are not safe either. Kitty may try going one step further and steal them. What do you think will happen next? The Trojan sends everything to the people who published it.
Do you think that these hackers are the right people to have access to your private life? Of course, not. They will use your private data for nothing but their malicious purposes. Or they will send it to third parties. Either way, you lose. You have to get rid of the Trojan immediately. In addition, like all of the above-mentioned issues are not enough, Kitty.exe also ruins your online experience. You start being redirected to all kinds of malicious pages. You are bombarded with shady advertisements on daily basis.
Even though your machine is still usable, you cannot use it without being interrupted or be risking your privacy. Don’t hesitate. Delete the Trojan now. These infections also serve as a backdoor to other malware. Ransomware, mostly. And do you know what is worse than having one of the two most dangerous viruses on board? Having them both on board. Don’t let this happen. Use our removal guide below and get rid of Kitty.exe. The sooner, the better.
Lastly, how to keep yourself safe in the future? In order to do so, you have to know how the Trojan managed to enter your machine in the first place. It tricked you to give it green light. That’s right. The Trojan needs your consent and it asks for it. However, asking straightforwardly will not result in success so the pest turns to tricks. These include spam email messages and malicious attachments, corrupted pages, freeware bundles, fake program updates, etc.
The tactics are many but what all infection pray for the most is your haste, distraction, and carelessness. If you are vigilant you will be able to spot an intruded on time and prevent it from entering. But if you are negligent, you will let it go right by you without noticing. So, be more cautious. Don’t rush when installing programs/bundles. Always check the Terms and Conditions to be sure what you are agreeing to. Don’t open emails from people you don’t know but delete them right away. Restrain from suspicious links/ads/torrents as there are plenty of safe ones to use. Do your due diligence and keep your PC infection-free.
