The redirects they flood you with are used to boost Web traffic on specific pages as in this way the crooks make money. They take advantage of the pay-per-click method. Your clicks fill their pockets. And let’s not forget about the ads. Of course, there will be ads. You will see them all the time in all kinds of forms covering your whole screen and be prompting you to click them open.
Donation-tools.org generates a huge amount of sponsored commercials alongside the safe ones. The problem is that you cannot tell the sponsored ones apart from the safe ones unless you click. This is not a risk worth taking. You will not only sponsor greedy crooks but you may also worsen your situation. Many of this ads hide more malware threats in them or lead to malware-laced pages and one click of your is enough to get infected. In a matter of a few clicks, you can compromise your already compromised PC. And the last thing you need while dealing with one parasite is to get ten new and probably more dangerous ones.
Keep in mind that your PC is already struggling because of the PUP`s shenanigans and if more infections come on board it won`t be long before it breaks down completely. But there is one more issue which totally overshadows the above-mentioned ones. The privacy problem. Donation-tools.org has access to all of your personal, financial and computer-related information. It spies on you all the time while in your system and everything it finds it hands over to the crooks. There is no need to tell you how dangerous that is. Identity theft and financial scam are first to come to mind. However, there is a simple way to stop all of this and regain control over your machine. Donation-tools.org Uninstall
Run the Task Manager by right clicking on the Taskbar and choosing Start Task Manager.
Look carefully at the file names and descriptions of the running processes. If you find any suspicious one, search on Google for its name, or contact me directly to identify it. If you find a malware process, right-click on it and choose End task.
Open Control Panel by holding the Win Key and R together. Write appwiz.cpl in the field, then click OK.
Here, find any program you had no intention to install and uninstall it.
Open MS Config by holding the Win Key and R together. Type msconfig and hit Enter.
Go in the Startup tab and Uncheck entries that have “Unknown” as Manufacturer.
