AZORult is categorized by malware researchers as a very dangerous Trojan Horse virus. This infection is capable of severely damaging your computer, if you ever have the misfortune of it invading your virtual machine.
Hackers love using this type of virus because of its versatility and stealthiness. There is no limit, when it comes to what the Trojan can do once it penetrates into the computer system. It can easily modify the Registry, corrupt essential system files and processes, as well as install other malicious apps and programs, which can assist the nasty virus in its malicious tasks. What’s more, Trojans are the perfect tool for spying in the hands of cyber criminals.
Trojan Horse viruses are also known as means to turn the computer of the victim into a cryptocoin mining machine, and thus use up all of the CPU, GPU power and other resources to maintain the illegal processes.
The most common ways for users to get their PC infected with a Trojan Horse is via bundled software and fake update requests. When downloading software from the internet, every user should be diligent and cautious. The thing is, many people fall victim to malicious viruses, just because they were too quick to click on the “Next” button. Few users ever read the full terms and conditions when they click on “I agree”. If you follow our advice and opt for a Custom/Advanced installation instead, or a Quick one, you will save yourself the headache of having to deal with a potential virus attack.
You see, by choosing Quick mode in the setup wizard, you will not be able to see the full contents of the software you are about to install. Often, malware hides as additional software that you will be unable to see, unless you opt for a Custom installation. If you notice such extra programs and applications that were not previously disclosed as part of the software bundle you’ve downloaded, we highly recommend deselecting them.
Everyone prays that they never see the day when they computer gets infected with a Trojan Horse. And with a good reason. Who would want to have such a virus on their PC? No one. Why? Because it is a great nuisance that is capable of damaging the computer system so bad, that the outcome is often the blue screen of death for the virtual machine. This means that whatever files the victim had on their PC will no longer be usable.
In many cases, Trojans proceed with corrupting any files it comes across. If you’ve been hacked by such a nasty virus, it means that your security and privacy are compromised. Hackers may also use this infection as a means to spy on you – both virtually and physically. You may be observed by cyber criminals through your web camera and microphone. Creepy, right?
