Is your screen getting bombarded by the “Pending Reward for Loyalty” pop-ups? Whatever you do, do not click on them! The presence of such pop-ups is due to a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) on your computer. The aim of this malicious scheme is to make you share personal and financial information. If the problem persists even after you’ve closed the pop-up, it is best to scan your computer for malicious activity. Don’t be fooled by the name.
There is nothing potential about the trouble you are in. Such parasite uses trickery in order to infiltrate your computer. It will waste no time and will launch an attack on any existing browsers on your PC, shortly after it invades. No matter which website you visit, advertisements will pop-up like wildfire. The parasite will even interrupt your online videos for commercial breaks. We strongly suggest that you remove this PUP from your computer as soon as you notice it. Otherwise, you risk not only getting your browsers severely damaged, but putting your personal and financial information in jeopardy as well.
As we already established, the “Pending Reward for Loyalty” message exists due to a PUP on your PC. The question is, how did it get on your computer. Well, it cannot hack your computer on its own. It is not as advanced. Such parasite needs your help in order to infiltrate. Which means that you gave it access, whether you did it unconsciously or not. Often, this can happen if you’ve opted for a Quick install, or opened infected spam emails.
Other means of PUP distribution include torrent files, as well as dubious ads and links. After a software download, make sure to install it the right way. Do not make the mistake of opting for a Quick installation. Instead, select Custom or Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard, so you can be able to see if there is any hidden content in the form of additional software. If there is any, it is very likely that it actually is malware in hiding. Make sure to opt out of any optional installations, so they do not get access to your computer.
Do not underestimate the power of the PUP responsible for the “Pending Reward for Loyalty” pop-ups. Even if you manage to get rid of the message, you need to make sure that the reason it existed in the first place, is gone too. Scan your computer for malicious software. If the pop-ups keep reappearing, do not, under any circumstances, click on them. The message will want you to believe that you’ve won a prize. And in order to claim it, you need to fill in your personal and financial details. Such information is very valuable to crooks, so they will do whatever they can to get it.
Also, if you see any ads that look too good to be true, it is best to avoid them. The PUP is programmed to provide attractive sponsored content that the user is more likely to click on. The thing is, there is no guarantee that the ad you clicked on will lead you to a reliable and secure source. By clicking on such shady promotions, you risk exposing your sensitive data. And cyber criminals will make sure to take advantage of that. If you want to return to a private and secure online presence once more, you need to act against this PUP immediately! The more time you waste, the worse it will get! If you are unsure on how to proceed, you can follow our detailed instructions below.
