Remove HidenGate Virus (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) | Updated

I wrote this article to help you remove HidenGate Virus. This HidenGate Virus removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

HidenGate is an adware related parasite that aims to turn your browsers into ad-displaying tools. No web app is immune to its malicious effect. Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, Explorer, Opera – the cyber pest attacks every browser on your computer. As soon as it invades, it will start to generate multiple intrusive advertisements. Such a large quantity of promoted content will turn your browsing experience in complete hell.

The thing is, for each click you make on the said content, the adware will get paid. To raise its chances for profit, the malicious software will steal your web data like browsing history, search queries and surfing habits, so it will be able to better customize the ad content that will appear on your screen. It is not unusual for adware to even install shady software like add-ons, toolbars or apps on your browser, without your knowledge and permission.

Adware most commonly hides behind spam emails and attachments, torrent files, freeware, fake update messages, infected links and ads, etc. it is very important to pay close attention to what you click on while browsing the internet. While you may think that the ad you are about to click on is legitimate, in reality, that may not be so. You see, if an advert looks too good to be true, it is most likely to be fake.

The aim of such promoted content is to lure you in and reroute you to a potentially dangerous source. This is the perfect way for hackers to open backdoors to your computer and steal your personal information. Not to mention how easy it would be to launch other malicious threats and infect your computer with various types of malware.

The HidenGate adware is not to be underestimated. True, it is not considered to be a real ‘virus’ by many users, since it only limits its attack to browsers only, but that doesn’t mean that it is harmless. You see, the longer this parasite is allowed to roam free on your browser, the more shady ads it will be able to produce and thus your browser will inevitable overloaded with promoted content. Sooner or later, it will start to crash and freeze, often to the point of it not being able to respond to any of your commands.

At some point, your browser will stop working altogether. All because you did nothing to stop the malicious activity of this nasty adware. Be warned. Waste no time and get rid of this menace, before it is too late! Having such malware on your computer compromises your online security and privacy.
