Remove “Awesome Gift Of The Day” (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) | Updated

I wrote this article to help you remove “Awesome Gift Of The Day”. This “Awesome Gift Of The Day” removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

If you see the “Awesome Gift Of The Day” ads every time you so much as touch one of your browsers, we have bad news for you. You have an adware parasite in your system and as long as it remains, your browsing experience will continue to be a complete mess. You see adverts on every page you visit (or should we say attempt to visit). There is no getting rid of those commercials. They are everywhere.

The adware adds a pesky plugin which is compatible with all of your browsers, so no matter which one you prefer to use, it is still infected. Your whole screen is constantly covered with ads in all shapes and colors. You see banners, coupons, deals, best prices, in texts, video ads, pop-ups ads, price comparison, etc. and etc. Surfing the web at peace becomes an impossible task. You cannot find anything you are looking for online as you are constantly redirected to shady third-party pages. Additional tabs open all the time. You are forced to visit sites which prevent you from leaving. It is a nightmare and you will hate the experience. What is worse, no matter what you do, the adware won`t leave you alone. Not unless you remove it manually, which we suggest you do ASAP. Find where the pesky infection is lurking and delete it. The sooner, the better.

The “Awesome Gift Of The Day” Virus

The adware floods you with commercials for a reason. It is crated to generate pay-per-click revenue for its owners. Basically, with each one of your clicks on an ad, you fill crooks` pockets. You become their sponsor. That’s why you see so many advertisements all the time. The more ads you see, the bigger the chance to click gets. Yet, numbers and persistence are not the only things the adware relies on. It needs your clicks and it does all that it can to get them. The pest spies on your browsing habits and learns what you like. For instance, if you often search for dog food online, it will show you averts about similar products.

The adware knows all about you and it uses this intel to display commercials which will spark your interest. This way it at least knows that you will be tempted to click. Don’t fall into that trap. The adware doesn’t care about your online shopping. It only needs your clicks. Don’t provide them. Avoid everything generated by the infection at all costs. Of course, avoidance is a temporary decision. You cannot do it forever but at least be extra careful not to click until you remove the intruder for good. Once you do, everything will get back to normal. There will be no more misleading ads, no redirects to dodgy sites, no underperforming machine. Act now against the virus and get your machine back to normal.

How did the adware manage to enter your computer without you realizing? It tricked you of course. It went around you but only because you were careless enough to let it. The most commonly used thick adware pests use is called freeware bundling. Be very cautious when installing free program off the web. Pay attention and read the Terms and Conditions before you accept them. Also, opt for the Custom settings in the Setup Wizard instead of the Basic ones. They allow you to see a list of all extra apps which are about to be installed together with the original program. You are also allowed to deselect them. Do that. Remove all “bonuses” as they are usually malicious and unwanted. Hackers pray for your negligence. They don’t expect you to take the time to check the entire bundle. Prove them wrong. Protect your machine. The only way to do that is to do your due diligence.
