I wrote this article to help you remove UCGuard Service Virus. This UCGuard Service Virus removal guide works for all Windows versions.
The UCGuard Service is classified as PUP – potentially unwanted program. We can easily remove the “potentially” part as this infection is indeed unwanted. It causes only troubles and headaches. For starters, your computer starts to underperform because the PUP uses lots of PC resources. It lags frequently and some older machines may even start to crash. Your browsers also freeze because UCGuard Service bombards you with tons of pop-up ads.
The PUP was never meant to be beneficial to you. It was only created to serve crooks` malicious purposes which have nothing to do with your safe and pleasant browsing experience. You better find and remove the PUP as soon as you can. There is no place for such an infection on your machine. The sooner you tackle it, the better.
UCGuard Service is designed to flood you with numerous advertisements on daily basis. Every time you so much as touch one of your previously reliable browsers, you get bombarded with ads in all shapes imaginable. You see coupons, deals, offers, in texts, best prices, comparison, banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, video ads, and so on and so forth. Even the pages which used to be ad-free are now completely covered. You cannot browse the Web normally anymore due to the constant intrusions.
The PUP also redirects you to shady pages which suspicious content all the time. You try loading a site and you somehow end up visiting another unreliable one. Of course, nothing you see because of the PUP is reliable.
In fact, you could easily result in you infecting your already infected computer even more. But none of this can be compared with the security risk you are facing while hosting UCGuard Service. It spies on your and monitors every move you make. It also collects all the valuable information of yours. This means that if you use your machine to pay bills online or for online shopping, the pest could steal your financial credentials. Your usernames, passwords, email addresses, accounts, IPs, etc. are also in danger.
What do you think the pest will use this data for? It sends it all to the crooks behind it who can either use them for their malicious agendas or sell it to third parties. We don’t know which is worse. You lose in both scenarios. Unless you take measures. Use our removal guide at the end of this article and get rid of UCGuard Service now. Protect your privacy and regain control over your online activities.
How did you get stuck with the UCGuard Service PUP? Well, you are not going to like the answer. The parasite infected you because of you. You were the one to let it in. Not intentionally, but still. The PUP is bound to seek your permission on its entering and it uses trickery and deceit to get it.
The methods the infection relies on are many. For instance, corrupted pages/links, malicious ads, fake updates, freeware bundles, unverified download sources, etc. It may also enter via a drive-by download. These downloads are automatic and they happen without the realization of the user. Be careful which pages you visit as a drive-by download start without your interaction and has no sign of happening.
Also, stay away from shiny ads which appear to be useful but are actually dangerous. Don’t open email from unknown senders and don’t download their attachments. The same goes for strange messages that you receive in social media. If you don’t personally know the person, just ignore the messages. Even if you know them and the message looks bizarre, proceed with cautions. Your friend`s machine could also have been infected and they may have nothing to do with the message you received.
