How to Remove Bongacams.com (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) | Updated

I wrote this article to help you remove Bongacams.com. This Bongacams.com removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Bongacams.com is a pornographic website of Bulgarian origin. It is associated to an adware program. If you have never visited this website, you may find it shocking that you are getting redirected by it. The infected domain opens a backdoor to the web browser. The adware will process redirects through Bongacams.com. It will take you to unsolicited websites which may be unsafe to visit. The shady tool also generates advertisements. Perhaps the biggest threat around it is another activity which you may not be aware of. The adware can monitor your browsing sessions and record information on you.

As we alluded to, you can have the clandestine program enter your system without ever visiting the Bongacams.com website. The adware uses a couple of propagation vectors. It often travels with other programs in a bundle. Freeware, shareware and pirated copies of paid applications are the usual hosts because they do not have a protected license agreement. This allows developers to tamper with them. The download client will be set to process the install of the secluded program. If you do not find the option and change the setting, it will get installed to your computer. We advise you to always read the terms and conditions of the tools you add to your system.

The other entry point for the Bongacams.com adware is through a spam email. The sender will state that the letter is a legitimate notification from a reputable organization. He can write on behalf of the national post, the local police department, a courier firm, a bank, a government branch, a commercial platform, a social network or another entity. Be advised that opening the containing file is enough to allow the secluded program into your machine. Before accessing attached files, you should do your research to make sure the message is genuine. Look up the sender’s name and contacts.

The Bongacams.com Virus

When the Bongacams.com adware enters your computer, it will start to perform its intended tasks per schedule. The furtive program will redirect you at random during your browsing sessions. It will take you to supported websites. The purpose of the adware is to make proceeds for its owners. To do so, it conducts advertising campaigns. Apart from loading pages without your involvement, the malevolent program will display ads on your screen. It will try to get you interested with bargain offers for high quality items. The covert program will show you deals for clothes, accessories, furniture, interior and exterior decorations, technological devices, toys, games and other commodities.

The Bongacams.com adware generates ads in various formats, including pop-ups, pop-unders, in-text links, coupon boxes, freebies, interstitial, floating, contextual, transitional and inline windows. The insidious program will decorate them with colorful patterns, cursive fonts, flash animations and other special effects to make them stand out. The ads contain redirect links to sponsored websites. Clicking on them would be a gamble. There is no guarantee that they are reliable. The Bongacams.com adware does not run security scans to proof the reliability of the third party content before forwarding it to users. The burden of the risk will be yours to bear.

The other security risk around the Bongacams.com adware is connected to personal data. The sinister program is set to track users’ online sessions and gather input from their web browser. It can record your browsing history, cookies, keystrokes, IP address, geographic location, postal code, residency, email account, telephone number, user names, passwords, financial credentials and other details. The gathered input will be packed into catalogs and sold on the darkweb. The proprietors of the insidious program will not ask for permission to monitor, record and trade your web traffic.
