I wrote this article to help you remove Win32/Herz.b Trojan. This Win32/Herz.b Trojan removal guide works for all Windows versions.
Win32/Herz.b is a classic Trojan horse virus. This sentence alone should make you take actions immediately. Trojans, together with ransomware, are the most dangerous cyber infections. Win32/Herz.b is no exception. It will bring you nothing but issues and headaches. For starters, the pest messes with your default PC settings. What is worse, it does so in complete silence and it doesn’t need any kind of permission. You may not even realize you have a Trojan on board for a long time.
Unlike ransomware pieces, which reveals themselves by dropping a ransom note, Trojans wreak havoc from the background. There is still a chance to notice a Trojans’ presence, though. These pests take a lot of CPU memory and your machine’s speed slows down to a crawl. It starts crashing and rebooting for no apparent reason. Your browsers freeze as well and your previously stable internet connection is nowhere to be found. So, pay attention to your PC and if you notice anything out of the ordinary, take measures. The more you procrastinate and ignore the signs, the worse your situation gets.
Win32/Herz.b also alters or completely damages some of your system files. As a result, you won`t be able to run some of your program and applications. This is what Trojans do. They wreck your machine. Your browser can get affected too. The virus adds a pesky extension to all of them thus injecting them with countless questionable ads. Dangerous ads which may lead you straight to more malware. And even if some of them are perfectly safe you cannot tell which is which without clicking. But clicking is too much of a risk.
So, stay away from everything. Don’t click on the ads. Win32/Herz.b may also display offers for anti-malware products or other programs for you to purchase. Do not. It is a scam. The pest is after your money. Nothing it may display can be trusted. Not the ads, to the pages you get redirected to… Nothing. Not to mention that Trojans are often used as a backdoor for other infections. Ransomware pieces, most often. And do you know what is worse than having one of the most dangerous cyber infections on board? Having both of them.
The last thing you need is more infection on your already compromised machine. And all of this isn’t enough, Win32/Herz.b also jeopardizes your privacy by spying on your and monitoring your every online move. We are talking IPs, email addresses, usernames, passwords, accounts, browser-related data, etc. It may even get to your personally identifiable and financial information. There is no need of telling you what could happen then.
If crooks get their hands on these credentials, they will not hesitate before using them for their malicious purposes. Or, they can sell them to third parties. Either way, you lose. Unless you do something while there is still time. Delete this Trojan ASAP. To do so manually, please use our removal guide below. One you remove it, make sure you protect yourself and your PC better in the future.
How to protect yourself? For that, you need to know how Trojans travel the web. For example, do you know how Win32/Herz.b managed to get in? It tricked you, that’s how. Trojans and other infections are still programs and they need to be properly installed. They are bound to seek your permission on their installment and they are using tricks to get it. For example, Trojans can land on your PC in a spam email message and if you open this message you are giving the infection a green light. See, it still asks for approval but in the sneakiest way possible.
Don’t open emails from unknown senders EVEN IF they look legitimate. Such spam messages are often disguised as shipping invoices or job applications. Be cautious. Any email message that is from someone you don’t personally know should be deleted. Also, be extra careful on what you download. Carefully read what you are agreeing to when installing an update or a bundle. Don’t skip the Terms and Conditions/EULA.
Stay away from questionable pages, unverified download sources, illegitimate torrents, third-party pop-ups, etc. Always be on the alert as what infections need the most is your carelessness. They cannot succeed without you providing it. So, don’t. Be vigilant and don’t make yourself an even easier target by being negligent.
