I wrote this article to help you remove Scearche-nayty.ru. This Scearche-nayty.ru removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Scearche-nayty.ru is classified as adware for many reasons. It bypasses the system’s security and installs itself without the user’s consent. Once on board, this pest starts to spy on you. It uses the collected data to choose ads that will appeal especially to you. Soon, you will be drowned in a sea of ads, pop-up windows and video banners. The most frustrating thing this parasite does is the constant redirection. Even if you try to enter the Scearche-nayty.ru address in your web browser, you will be redirected to another website. All landing pages have something in common: they are shady. Some of them are obvious rip-offs but others appear quite legitimate.
The Scearche-nayty.ru adware has only one purpose: to make money for its owners. To do so, it uses pay-per-click marketing. Most of the big search engine providers use this mechanism. However, unlike them, this furtive utility does not check what is being promoted. This means that anyone with money can use it to advertise anything, including unlicensed or even illegal products and services. Furthermore, the adware creates an ad-layer that hides its competitors’ adverts. This robs you from your free choice. The only offers you will be able to see are the ones from the Scearche-nayty.ru adware. You will lose track of the current prices. The promoted “best deals” are best for the marketers only.
Have you noticed that all ads you are seeing have something to do with your needs, hobbies or interests? That is because the Scearche-nayty.ru adware knows you well. It is no surprise since it monitors all your online activities. Yes, that’s right. It knows what you are searching for, your favorite websites, which pages you view and even your browsing history. This is very dangerous because the adware can steal your user names and passwords. Be cautious and don’t log in to any banking services or social media while this pest remains on your machine. Otherwise, you are risking losing more than your privacy.
There is a potential danger in the ads you see. A malicious ad may redirect you to an infected website. There, a drive-by download can be initiated and infect your computer with malware. A drive-by download is a term used to describe a download that starts automatically and does not require the user’s interaction. It is almost completely invisible to the user and, therefore, impossible to be stopped on time. For all those reasons, the drive-by download is commonly used by hackers for virus distribution.
All redirections that the Scearche-nayty.ru adware forces on you are not only annoying, they can lead you to an infected site, too. Even if the landing pages are virus clean, you must not trust the content you see on them. Keep reminding yourself that everything you see is sponsored. Someone paid the tricksters to expose you to this content. It can be an obvious ad or it can be an obscured one. Fake reviews and news are very common nowadays. Don’t waste your time on such websites. They can trick you into doing something you will regret later.
We are talking about the Scearche-nayty.ru adware being installed on your machine, but do you remember doing it? It is not a surprise if you don’t. The malicious utility tricked you into installing it. It may have arrived as an extra to some freeware or shareware you downloaded off the Internet. Developers like to hide additional programs under custom/advanced tabs and buttons. They would also try to mislead the user into choosing the fast/standard method. They do so because under the custom method the user will be able to see a list of all additional programs. Again, only under it can you deny the installation of all unwanted apps. If you choose the standard method, the installation will proceed automatically and will install all extras without further ado.
There are other distribution methods. Some of the most common ones are: spam emails, torrents, corrupted links and ads. The key to a secure computer is caution. Whatever you download off the web, scan it with a trustworthy anti-virus program. Also, opt for an advanced installation. Those actions are not so time-consuming, but they can spare you many troubles in the future.
