If it was, this article`s name would have been very different. Like “SurfBuyer Installation” for example.
Make no mistake. The application was created by crooks. In fact, it an adware-type potentially unwanted program (PUP) and it was not developed to be helpful to you in any way. Actually, adware is considered one of the least harmful cyber infections but you should not underestimate it. It can and will cause you many problems. Once SurfBuyer settles in, the issues begin. For starters, the app will compromise all of your browsers by adding a malicious extension to each one. Yes, no matter if you are using Google Chrome, Mozilla or Internet Explorer, you can consider your browser no longer safe. The parasite injects it with all kinds and links and countless commercials with you will be forced to deal with every day. Keep in mind that none of the modifications SurfBuyer make require your approval. It alters settings completely behind your back and your preferences are not a priority anymore.
The malicious plugin brings along an avalanche of annoying ads. All kinds of ads. Pop-ups, pop-unders, video ads, deals, offers, banners everything you can think of. You will get interrupted by them 24/7 and they will make your browsing experience impossible to enjoy. But not only that. You will also be redirected to shady pages. A lot of them. And links too. Beware. All of them, no exceptions, are dangerous. All of them. Crooks use them to generate traffic to specific pages by redirecting you to them and if you click on something they gain profit. This is the pay-per-click mechanism. Your clicks fill the crooks pockets. But it is not only that. You are also facing a huge malware risk. The ads/redirects hide more malware infections on them and one click is more than enough thin infection to enter your PC.
All SurfBuyer displays should be avoided unless you want to compromise your already compromised machine even further. Your computer is also affected. Its speed worsens significantly.
