KZIPSHELL.DLL “Virus” Removal

I wrote this article to help you remove KZIPSHELL.DLL. This KZIPSHELL.DLL removal guide works for all Windows versions.

KZIPSHELL.DLL falls under the category of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). And KZIPSHELL.DLL is exactly what its names says it is – unwanted. Even though PUPs are relatively easy to tackle if you don’t take action on time, they can cause you some very serious issues. The longer they stay on board the more time they have to mess up your system. That’s why KZIPSHELL.DLL should not be underestimated only because it is a PUP. PUPs are tricky, secretive and deceptive parasites and they should be removed as soon as possible. Otherwise, you should prepare for a myriad of problems.
KZIPSHELL.DLL slither in your system completely behind your back and then it wastes no time before going to work. It starts meddling immediately, first going after your browsers. The PUP messes with your default or preferred settings. It makes completely unauthorized changes and it makes them as it sees fit. For example, you may notice some additional toolbars which you don’t remember installing. And that’s because you didn’t. The PUP did and your permission was neither needed nor asked for.

Also, KZIPSHELL.DLL adds to your browsers a malicious extension, which works perfectly with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox, so no matter which one your preferred browser is, it is still infected. They all are, so switching from one to another won`t help you either. As a result from this added extension, your browser is now brimming with ads. All kinds of ads in all kind of form will be covering your screen every time you try using your PC. Do you imagine how annoying that is? And the ads are not your only problem. You will also be redirected to shady pages 24/7. You try loading a site but instead you end up visiting a suspicious looking and probably dangerous page. The PUP completely ruins your browsing experience and you are not able to surf the Web at peace while being constantly irritated and disturbed. But aside from getting on your nerves, the PUP also poses a malware risk. All the ads it generates and all the pages it redirects you to are dangerous. They conceal more malware infections in them and your one click is enough to invite said malware into your machine. Before you know it, your PC will be flooded with all kinds of infections.

How long do you think your machine will hold up before the blue screen of death appears? Not long. And by clicking, you are not only going to compromise your PC even more but you are also going to help crooks make money. That’s right. The ads and the redirects were not created to be beneficial for you. They have only one purpose and it is monetary gain. Crooks use them to boost web traffic to some specific pages so they could gain profits by the pay-per-click method. However, you don’t have to be a part of the cybercriminals` nasty scheme. Avoid everything the PUP throws your way. You now see what kind of parasite it is. In addition, KZIPSHELL.DLL also worsens your PC performance. Its speed slows down, your system crashes frequently and your Internet connection becomes unstable. And like this isn’t enough, throw to the equation the security risk.

All other issues aside, KZIPSHELL.DLL spies on you. It monitors your every move and steals your sensitive information. It not only steals it, it also gives it to the crooks behind it. Now these strangers with questionable intentions have your private information at their disposal. Nothing good could come from this. On the contrary, financial scams and identity thefts are the first to come to mind. Waste no more time. Get rid of the pest and protect your PC and your privacy. To remove it manually, use our detailed guide below.

But how this sneaky infection managed to infect you in the first place? One of the most effective and popular methods are spam email messages. Especially if you tend to open everything that lands in your mailbox. Each email which looks suspicious and is from unknown sender must be deleted straight away. It is always easier to prevent an infection than to deal with it later. Another entering tactic the PUP might have used is freeware. Unless you check the entire bundle program by program you cannot know what else you are getting alongside the program you wanted in the first place. That’s why you should always opt for the Advanced settings in the Setup Wizard instead of the Basic ones. The Advanced take more time but they also give you control over the whole installation process and Basic only guarantee you speed but not safety. By being a little more vigilant you can save yourself a ton of issues. Infections are all over the Web and if you don’t take measures you are making yourself even an easier target than you already are.
