UvConverter.exe, associated with PUP.CornerSunshine, is a PUP (potentially unwanted program), which has managed to slither in your system undetected and needs to be removed as soon as possible. PUPs are exactly what their name says – unwanted tools and this one is no different. Do not hesitate and take immediate action. The longer you put up with this threat staying in your system, the worse your situation gets.

This parasite will do you nothing good. It`s sneaky, malicious and has to be removed before completely wrecking your machine. You will only notice it once it has already settled in because it finds its way completely silently. However, once on board, you simply cannot miss its presence. From day one, you will start noticing various unauthorized changes done on your PC. Default settings changed, homepage replaced. It would be like someone else has control over your device. While this virus is messing with you, you may not be able to run some specific programs.

Files can be damaged as well. All this means that hackers have taken over and hackers don’t bother to ask for permission. They don’t care about your preferences. But if you think that’s all the pest does, you are terribly wrong. It is just getting started. Next come your browser, which is no longer safe to use. You may notice some additional toolbars` and extensions` appearance. Moreover, you will be flooded with pop-up ads and commercial every time you open it. They will be everywhere prompting you to click on them. Do not! Their only purpose is to generate web traffic and gain money for their authors via the pay-per-click mechanism. This means that by clicking on them you are sponsoring the crooks behind them. Would you want that? Of course not.

But what is worse than just voluntarily helping cybercriminals make money is getting infected with other malware while doing it. All these ads the PUP displays, together with the redirects and commercials, are 100% dangerous. There is a high change they are laced with dangerous malware pieces and only one click may be enough for you to get them. Avoid all of them even if they seem helpful or interesting in some way.

Furthermore, as you know, a PUP puts your privacy in danger in a way that it is safe to say that your private life is no longer private. How? PUPs are designed to be able to spy on you. And they do. Each your move is being monitored: what you have searched for, the results you got from that search, IPs, usernames, passwords, email addresses… Everything. All this information is not only being monitored but also kept and sent to the PUP`s creators, meaning that strangers have all of your sensitive data.

It is also possible for the crooks to get to your financial data. Then things can get worse. You may become a victim of a financial scam. Not to mention the possibility to have your identity stolen. Also, UvConverter.exe serves a back door to malware. Do not take that risk. Find where this nasty PUP is hiding and delete it before it`s too late.

To top it all, the tool takes up a lot of CPU memory which results in very bad PC performance. The computer will also start experiencing frequent crashes and your Internet connection will become horrible. All this may lead to a Blue Screen Death. Don’t let the PUP take it that far. Our detailed removal guide below will help you get rid of it and regain control over your machine. Also, consider getting yourself a reliable anti-malware program for better protection.

If you are currently infected with this threat you will for sure want to avoid it and others in the future. Unluckily, these programs rely on many entering tactics and you cannot know which one it used exactly. However, the most commonly used techniques include bundled freeware and shareware. Often, while getting one of these you get a malware as well as it is hiding in them. Especially if you rely on illegitimate pages, which should be avoided.

Don’t rush the installation process and take time to read what you are installing on your PC. This way you will have a better chance at spotting an intruder on time. Other methods are spam emails and their attachments. Any suspicious looking email should be deleted right away without being opened or its attachment downloaded. The same goes for fake updates and risky webpages. Always be cautious while on the Web because cyber threat can be lurking from anywhere.
