“I wrote this article to help you remove KMPFaster. This KMPFaster removal guide is working for all Windows versions.”
KMPFaster is system maintenance software. The purpose of the application is to keep the machine up and running at an optimal speed. KMPFaster has three main functions. The first task is to increase the system’s performance speed. This feature is completely free. The other two functions are for cleaning and updating the operating system. They are available for free at a basic scope. Users can upgrade to the premium version to use these features to their full potential. KMPFaster does constant analysis on the system’s performance and lists input on its current state. This includes the machine’s temperature, the processor’s load, the basic software and hardware specifications. Apart from the useful operations, KMPFaster also performs unsolicited tasks which could have a negative effect on your computer. Due to this, the application has been filed under the potentially unwanted program (PUP) category.
What problems can KMPFaster cause?
Contrary to its designated purpose, KMPFaster can slow down your computer. The furtive program is assigned to carry out a number of tasks which can gradually use up the CPU. This is not limited to the maintenance operations. KMPFaster conducts advertising campaigns. It generates ads which promote bargain shopping deals. The ads can be presented in different formats, including pop-ups, pop-unders, in-text links, coupon boxes, freebies, transitional, interstitial, floating, contextual, inline, comparison and full-page ads. You may get the impression that this is a bonus service, but the purpose is different. KMPFaster does not work for the benefit of the end user. The secluded program generates ads to raise revenue for its owners. The advertisements contain embedded links to supported websites. Each click adds a certain unit to the total commissions, paid for sponsoring third party content.
The problem with the ads is not the motif for displaying them. If KMPFaster only linked to confirmed shopping platforms, this activity would be mutually beneficial. However, the furtive program does not accommodate a scanner for filtering dangerous websites. The proprietors of the PUP agree to promote the websites of all paying parties without running a security check. The end user is burdened with the risk alone. The owners of the shady program do not cover any liabilities and warranties, pertaining to security issues. The entity behind KMPFaster is a company from Dresden, Germany called Simplitec GmbH. It needs to be noted that the PUP tracks users’ browsing history. It gathers data on their habits and interests. This input is used to specify the content of the advertisements. You will notice that a lot of them are connected to your recent searches and online purchases. Be advised that the owners of the covert program could sell the data they collect on you without asking for your permission.
How did KMPFaster get installed to my computer?
KMPFaster can enter your system undetected. This is common for unsolicited software. The preferred distribution method for the PUP is bundling. It travels with freeware, shareware and pirated copies of paid utilities. The rogue program gets included in the terms and conditions of the download client as a bonus. To prohibit its install, you have to find where the option for it is mentioned and deselect it. It is highly advised to get acquainted with the end user license agreement (EULA) of all programs you add to your system.
Spam emails can carry KMPFaster, hidden behind an attachment. The sender will try to convince you that the file is an important document, so that you would open it. He can misrepresent a reliable entity, like the national post, a courier firm, a financial institution, a social network, a government branch or the local police department. Before following instructions from a letter, check the contacts to confirm the sender’s identity. The email address is the best indication.
