Microsoft has made their best to highlight the security feature of their Windows 10.
In fact, security is something which is of key importance to everyone, but especially the enterprise customers.
This year Microsoft launched a preview of Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, and now the company is making it available to much more users.
Currently, the program is still in the testing phase, however, Microsoft is looking for feedback from IT professionals and enterprise customers.
Despite the fact that it is described as a public preview, the would-be participants are required to register their interest and their applications are subject to approval.
According to Microsoft, the defender tool offers an additional layer of protection for those who need it most. The company also points out that the tool is already in use by more than 500,000 early-adopters.
ATP not only offers protection against what Microsoft calls “brazen and highly sophisticated” attacks, but it also helps users hit by attacks to analyze and respond to them.
Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection builds on existing security defenses Windows 10 offers today, providing an additional post-breach layer of protection to the Windows 10 security stack.
The combination of client technology built into Windows 10 and a robust cloud service, the defender tool will help detect threats which have made it successfully past other defenses. In addition, ATP will provide enterprises with information to investigate the breach across endpoints, and offer response recommendations.
