I wrote this article to help you remove IBuddy Virus. This IBuddy Virus removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Adware, as the name suggests, is an incredibly annoying type of malware that aims to turn your browser into an ad-displaying tool. Ibuddy is an example of such malicious software. Once it gets on your PC, it will start bombarding you with all types of ads like pop-ups, banners, even in-text promotions too. The goal here is to create PPC (Pay-Per-Click) revenue for both the hackers and the websites it will promote.
To raise the chance of its success, the nasty parasite will steal the victim’s browsing data like web history and habits, as well as search results. This data will prove to be very helpful in its mission to provide targeted advertisements that will look more attractive to the user. After all, the more clicks the victim makes, the more profitable this scheme will be to the cyber criminals.
Often, adware lurks behind free software bundles, fake update messages, spam emails and attachments, torrent files, infected web pages and ads, etc. What people don’t realize is, that they alone can give access to adware. These parasites cannot invade your computer on their own. They are incredibly sneaky and will do anything to fool you, so they can infiltrate your browsers. More often than not, freeware is how they manage to sneak in.
You see, users are known to skip through the installation process and click on the ‘Next’ button without giving much thought to what they actually are agreeing to. In fact, we bet that you normally opt for a Quick install after downloading software from the internet. Well, this is a big mistake. By doing so, you will not be able to view the full contents of what you’ve downloaded.
Oftentimes, malware is disguised as additional software that is not properly disclosed upon downloading and thus the user will have no idea of its existence. What you need to do instead, is to select Custom/Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard and simply deselect any optional installations that are available. By doing that, you will keep your computer malware-free.
Adware’s power is often underestimated. Many users don’t even consider this parasite a ‘real virus’ since it only limits its attack to browsers only. Still, it is not harmless. It can easily seriously damage your browser and prevent you from doing any kind of work online. Not to mention the serious security and privacy breach it causes once it invades your PC.
Sooner or later, your browser will no longer be able to display all of the ads thrown its way. At some point, it will start to crash, your internet connection will get slower, and your computer will start to lag. Your browser might even stop working altogether. That’s why you need to get rid of this annoying adware before it is able to put your private data in jeopardy and unable you to have a normal browsing experience. If you don’t know how to remove this cyber parasite, we can help you. All you have to do is follow our instructions below.
