I wrote this article to help you remove Hathick.info. This Hathick.info removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

The appearance of the Hathick.info pop-up is a sign of trouble. If you see it, it means that your browser has been attacked by adware. It won’t be long until you get bombarded by intrusive advertisements in any form – pop-ups, in-text, blinking messages, banners. And that is just a taste of what is yet to come. The longer this malicious parasite stays on your computer, the worse it will get. Your online security and privacy will surely get compromised.

Adware is able to gather all sorts of data on its victim – browsing history, web habits, search results, as well as passwords, credit card numbers, bank account credentials, etc. What’s more, you’ll constantly get redirected to suspicious sites like Hathick.info. The main objective of such annoying cyber pest is to bring income for its creators and the sites it promotes.

Malicious software such as adware cannot infiltrate your computer without your permission. That’s right, you granted it access to your PC. In most cases, this happens without the user realizing it. How? Easy. This cyber parasite uses different means to trick you. Adware is commonly spread through bundles with software, fake update requests, spam emails and attachments, as well as infected links and ads.

The Hathick.info Virus

If you are diligent when browsing the internet, you will be able to avoid a potential threat. However, more and more users are too quick to click on suspicious links, without thinking twice. If you see an ad that looks too good to be true, it probably is. You may fall straight into the trap set by cyber criminals. Furthermore, when you download software from the internet, the smart thing to do is to opt for Custom/Advanced mode in the Setup Wizard. This way you can make sure that you will not install any hidden program or application that is actually malware in disguise.

It is some comfort to know, that adware is not considered to be a real virus. But make no mistake. It is not harmless and can cause damages. However, it will only infect your browser, not your computer system like other viruses do. The danger lies behind the generated ads and pop-ups by this malicious software. You never know where they might reroute you to. What’s worse, you may be one click away from letting other cyber threats on your computer.

You may believe you are clicking on an exclusive sale advert, only to get redirected to an infected source that is capable of opening backdoors to other hackers that seek to steal your private information and share it with other third-parties for profit.

Also, adware is known to slow down your internet speed and overall browser performance. The longer you let this annoying ‘virus’ to roam free, the worse the consequences will get. At some point, your browser will start crashing frequently, till it stops working altogether. That’s why you need to remove this pesky adware from your PC as soon as you notice its presence!
