Do you see the sweetpacks-search.com all the time when you are online? Did it replace your homepage and search engine without your permission, leaving you unable to change them back? If the answer to both questions is yes, then be sure that you are infected.
The hijacker is already somewhere in your system and the display of sweetpacks-search.com is its way of cluing you in. Accept that page`s appearance as the warning it actually is, and heed it. The hijacker should not be left to operate freely. It must be uninstalled right away. If you let it stay, it will make a complete mess of your browsing. Do not underestimate the danger it poses because you will be surprised. Take immediate actions against it. Find exactly where it is lurking and delete it on the spot. From now on the sweetpacks-search.com site becomes your constant online shadow. You see it at every turn. No matter what you do online, the page pops up. And it is not alone. Due to the hijacker, you are forced to visit many others just as shady pages as well.
Surfing the web is not what it used to be. It is not fun. It is not safe. It is nerve-racking. You are constantly interrupted by redirects to dodgy sites and you are flooded with tons of unreliable commercials. The hijacker covers your screen with tons of ads in all shapes and forms which blink all the time and block pages` content. What you must know is that the majority of these ads are corrupted and they deliver malware or lead to pages, full of malware.
Either way, if you click, you agree more infections to be installed on your PC. Keep in mind that your machine is already struggling and it won`t be able to handle more pests. It will break down completely. Clicking is not worth the risk. Avoid everything the hijacker throws as you. Better yet, delete the pest altogether. Use our removal guide below and clean your computer for good.
How did SweetPacks manage to enter your computer undetected? The answer is freeware bundles. This method is one of the most popular among crooks. It is also very effective mostly because users tend to throw caution to the wind when they install programs. This is a mistake. You never know what else may be attached to this program as a bonus and if you don’t pay attention, the bonus gets installed.
Opt for the Custom settings instead of the Basic ones. They allow you see check the entire bundle program by program and remove all extras before you finish the installation. If you choose the Basic settings, all extras get installed automatically and you will have to deal with them manually. Save yourself tons of issues and be cautious in advance. A little extra attention goes a long way.
