ConvertDocsOnline is a malicious toolbar. If it appears on your browser, know that you are infected with a cyber parasite. ConvertDocsOnline falls under the umbrella of potentially unwanted programs – PUPs – and it is very annoying. The infection enters your PC in silence, bringing along nothing but problems and unpleasantries. Do not keep it on board. Avoid everything you see. Do not support cybercriminals` business. More importantly, don’t put yourself at risk. The links this PUP generates are unreliable. A single click on the wrong ad (and there are many of those) and you automatically download more malware. Bear in mind that your computer is already underperforming due to ConvertDocsOnline. Its speed is slow, it crashes and reboots, your browsers freeze, apps take forever to load, etc. Even your Internet connection may become unstable. And all of this due to this single infection. Imagine the consequences of having five or ten more pests on board. Don’t take such risk. Remove the PUP ASAP and everything will get back to normal. How did you get infected? ConvertDocsOnline used to have an official download but it was removed after complaints started pouring. Yet, there are still websites which promote the program so it is possible that you have downloaded the infections yourself. Accidentally or on purpose, it doesn’t matter. You may have downloaded it. But ConvertDocsOnline also uses the usual stealthy tactics to get on board. We are talking spam messages, malicious torrents, corrupted pages, freeware/shareware bundles, third-party ads, fake program updates, etc. Always be on the alert. ConvertDocsOnline Virus Removal
Run the Task Manager by right clicking on the Taskbar and choosing Start Task Manager.
Look carefully at the file names and descriptions of the running processes. If you find any suspicious one, search on Google for its name, or contact me directly to identify it. If you find a malware process, right-click on it and choose End task.
Open Control Panel by holding the Win Key and R together. Write appwiz.cpl in the field, then click OK.
Here, find any program you had no intention to install and uninstall it.
Open MS Config by holding the Win Key and R together. Type msconfig and hit Enter.
Go in the Startup tab and Uncheck entries that have “Unknown” as Manufacturer.
