I wrote this article to help you remove Wup\Wup.exe Trojan. This Wup\Wup.exe Trojan removal guide works for all Windows versions.
Wup\Wup.exe is a malicious process. Seeing it running on your machine means that you are infected with a virus. And not any type of virus but the most dangerous one of all – a Trojan horse. Trojans` horrible reputation is more than deserved. All they do is wreak havoc on your machine. Wup\Wup.exe is not an exception. Do not expect it to be any different. Yet, do expect it to bring tons of problems. What is more is that Trojans affect their victims individually. You can never know what a Trojan is programmed to do to you and your computer.
The pest is unpredictable. One thing is sure, though. You will not like the consequences that will follow. Yet, consider yourself lucky to know what you are up against. You are able to take adequate and immediate measures. The sooner you take them, the better. Wup\Wup.exe uses every second on board to cause problems. Do yourself a favor and delete it before it manages to cause some irreversible damage. Be sure that it will, sooner or later, and then you will regret not having tackled it sooner. Act fast. Time is not your friend in this situation. Delays lead to regrets.
Wup\Wup.exe can cause you all kinds of issues. For starters, it can rewrite your system registry behind your back. It can add and/or remove entries from it. It can alter or damage important system files. It can install/uninstall programs and corrupts already installed ones. It does all of this without your knowledge. You only notice the problem once it is already too late. Also, the pest can hijack your browsers and cause them to redirect you on every turn. It can bombard you with tons of ads on daily basis. It can infest your machine with more malware too. That’s right. The Trojan serves as a backdoor to other threats, ransomware included. If the crooks behind it decide so, they can fill your PC with more viruses. Imagine what will happen then. Your PC is already suffering and underperforming because of Wup\Wup.exe. It will not be able to hold on for too long if it gets other pests.
The Trojan makes a complete mess of your computer and prevents you from using it normally. The biggest problem, however, it that the pest threatens your privacy. Originally, Trojans were created to be spying tools. They are able to monitor your every online move and record sensitive information. This included your personally identifiable and financial data, passwords, usernames, email addresses, etc.
With the Wup\Wup.exe on board, your private life is no longer private. Everything the pest finds, it sends to the hackers behind it and they can use it for whatever they see fit. There is no need of explaining why this is dangerous, is there. Do not gamble with your safety. Delete the Trojan ASAP. To do so manually, use our removal guide below. If you prefer, you can also use a trusty removal app to help you. Either way, don`t procrastinate.
How did you get infected with Wup\Wup.exe? One of the most plausible scenarios is that the Trojans was attached to a spam email message. This technique is still used by hackers because, obviously, it still works. Users still open messages from unknown senders regardless of the warnings. This is their mistake. You should never open an email from a stranger even if it looks legitimate. Hackers disguise their messages to look that way in order to dupe you. Do not fall into that trap. Be smarter. If you throw caution to the wind every time you receive an email, parasites will keep infecting you. Don`t make yourself an easy target by being negligent. Choose vigilance instead. It keeps infections away.
