How did you get infected with this in the first place? Like most cyber infections, Trojans rely on the standard means of infiltration. They sneak in undetected by tricking you to let them in. They can hitch a ride with spam emails, for example. This is a tactic which is still efficient and never gets old. However, a malicious email message can`t do it all. The Trojan needs something from you as well. Your negligence. You must open the email so the Trojan can enter. If you delete it, on the other hand, your PC remains infection free. Be careful what emails you click open. If they look suspicious delete them right away. Other entering tactics are freeware, compromised links/pages.
A Trojan can even pretend to be a bogus program update in an attempt to trick you. The techniques are many and different but they do look alike in one thing. All of them need your carelessness. Don’t rush any installation process, read carefully what you agree with, and don’t automatically click “next” because this way you are practically inviting an infection. Don’t be naïve, be on the alert.
