I wrote this article to help you remove Search.futuremediatab.com. This Search.futuremediatab.com removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Do you see the Search.futuremediatab.com page every time you open one of your browsers? If the answer is “yes”, then you have to know that you have been infected with a cyber infection. A browser hijacker, to be exact. The above-mentioned site is just its way of revealing itself to you. But you should take its appearance as a warning sign. For you, that’s what it is. The page indicates that your machine is no longer infection free and you better take immediate action. Hijackers don’t make for pleasant tenants. They are extremely annoying, they ruin your online activities AND pose a threat to your privacy. Yes, that’s your biggest concern.
As soon as the pest enters, it starts spying on your via your browsers. It knows everything that you do. It monitors your every online move. But it doesn’t just settle for observing. It also collects everything and then sends it to the people who published it. Aka, to strangers with questionable intentions. Does this sound safe to you? Of course, not. Hackers can use your data for their malicious purposes. Don’t let them. Find the infection and delete it before things get out of control.
Aside from the security risk, the hijacker also exposes you to malware risk. Let`s explain. Cybercriminals use this hijacker for one single reason – to boost web traffic to particular pages and make pay-per-click revenue. How does it do so? It bombards you with ads. The infection takes control over your browsers and makes them display tons of commercials on daily basis. You are buried with coupons, deals, offers, pop-ups, etc. and every time you click on an ad, crooks make money. However, this is not all. Don’t think for a second that these advertisements are reliable. They are anything but that. In fact, most of them definitely lead to shady pages full of infections. Once you land on those, it is only a matter of time before you compromise your machine even further. Your web surfing turns into hell.
The hijacker also changes your previous settings. It makes all kinds of modifications and it doesn’t even inform you of that. It destroys your browsing experience. Every time you go online you get redirected to pages which you didn’t want to visit. Also, additional tabs appear when you click on a link. Your homepage and search engine magically disappear and the Search.futuremediatab.com takes their places. The hijacker effectively demolishes your online time. You cannot get any work done with all these intrusions. Luckily, it is up to you to change that. Use our removal guide below and get rid of the pest now. Once it is gone, everything will go back to normal.
How did you get infected with this? As we said, the Search.futuremediatab.com page pops up because of the hijacker. But how did the hijacker appear? We assume that you didn’t download it on purpose and yet, here it is. The pest tricked you to agree on its installation. It turned to the old but gold means of infiltration to get on board in the sneakiest way possible. Usually, hijackers use bundles. Be extra careful when installing bundles.
Always read the Terms and Conditions/EULA before giving your consent. Also, opt for the Custom settings instead of the Basic ones. Contrary to what most people say, they are not suitable for IT experts only. They just take more time but they also help you prevent an infection. You are able to see all the additional programs that are about to enter your system as well as deselect them. As we suggest you do. More often than not, these apps are malicious. They are infections. Be smarter. Remove each one of them and then continue installing the program you originally wanted. Keeping your PC virus-free requires caution. Don’t forget that.
