I wrote this article to help you remove Donation-tools.org. This Donation-tools.org removal guide works for all Windows versions.

Do you see the Donation-tools.org website every time you open your browser? If yes, you have a cyber infection on board. You are stuck with a potentially unwanted program (PUP) which is exactly what its name says – unwanted. There is still a silver lining, though. The parasite you are infected with is not that devastating compared to serious threats like ransomware and Trojan horses. However, this program does cause problems and if you don’t take measures, these problems will escalate very quickly. Aside from that, Donation-tools.org indirectly exposes you to malware risk. And, it messes with your machine. And, it gets on your nerves. Because of it, your machine is lagging, your browsers freeze, your system crash frequently and your previously stable Internet connection is nowhere to be found. Not to mention the huge security risk you are taking just by keeping the pest. The best course of action you can take is to permanently remove it from your system. If you don’t, you will be facing a ton of issues.

The first thing Donation-tools.org does after entering your computer is to inject all of your browsers with ads. It adds a malicious plugin to them making them no longer reliable. First of all, the Donation-tools.org page becomes your constant online companion. In is now in the places of your precious homepage and search engine and you are redirected to it every time you try loading another page. Aside from this malicious site, other shady ones will be forced on you as well. Of course, the parasite doesn’t ask you whether or not you agree to these changes. You are not in charge of your online experience anymore. The hackers are. They are just using you for to accomplish their malicious goal, which, unsurprisingly, is monetary gain. The redirects they flood you with are used to boost Web traffic on specific pages as in this way the crooks make money. They take advantage of the pay-per-click method. Your clicks fill their pockets. And let’s not forget about the ads. Of course, there will be ads. You will see them all the time in all kinds of forms covering your whole screen and be prompting you to click them open.

Donation-tools.org generates a huge amount of sponsored commercials alongside the safe ones. The problem is that you cannot tell the sponsored ones apart from the safe ones unless you click. This is not a risk worth taking. You will not only sponsor greedy crooks but you may also worsen your situation. Many of this ads hide more malware threats in them or lead to malware-laced pages and one click of your is enough to get infected. In a matter of a few clicks, you can compromise your already compromised PC. And the last thing you need while dealing with one parasite is to get ten new and probably more dangerous ones.

Keep in mind that your PC is already struggling because of the PUP`s shenanigans and if more infections come on board it won`t be long before it breaks down completely. But there is one more issue which totally overshadows the above-mentioned ones. The privacy problem. Donation-tools.org has access to all of your personal, financial and computer-related information. It spies on you all the time while in your system and everything it finds it hands over to the crooks. There is no need to tell you how dangerous that is. Identity theft and financial scam are first to come to mind. However, there is a simple way to stop all of this and regain control over your machine. You have to remove Donation-tools.org PUP once and for all. To do so manually, please use our removal instructions at the end of this article. Follow the step in the exact order and your machine will be infection-free very soon.

But, before proceeding to the removing part, take a few minutes to understand how this pest infected you in the first place and what you can do to prevent another attack. Usually, PUPs travel in freeware/shareware bundles. They are embedded in the program package and if you are not careful with the installation, you get them alongside the other program. By being not careful we mean you rushing the installment, not reading the Terms and Conditions, blindly agreeing to anything, only pressing the “next” button and hoping for the best. This is exactly how parasites infect you. They need you to be careless, otherwise, you will notice and remove them.

Your negligence is their only chance. That’s why, take your time, don’t skip steps and always choose the Advanced settings in the Setup Wizard as they give you complete control over the process. If you do that you increase your chances at catching an intruder on the spot. Other entering methods include spam emails, corrupted links, ads, etc. The point is that no matter what technique an infection uses, the thing it needs the post is your carelessness. Now that you know that, don’t provide it.
