I wrote this article to help you remove Chrome-extension-downloader.club. This Chrome-extension-downloader.club removal guide works for Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

If you are redirected to the Chrome-extension-downloader.club page all the time, then it is safe to say that you have a malicious Chrome extension installed on your browser. This extension is categorized as a browser hijacker because this is exactly what it does to you. To your browsers, actually. They all get infected and you don’t even have a single reliable one to use. Needless to say, you must act fast to remove this plugin. It is not helpful. It is not useful. And it is not harmless. All it does is cause interruptions.

Once you start seeing the Chrome-extension-downloader.club site on daily basis, accept the fact that you are hosting a parasite and start looking for a way out. The sooner you take adequate measures, the better. Find where the pest is hiding and delete it on the spot. If you don’t, prepare for a myriad of issues. The hijacker won`t stop. On the contrary. It will become more and more intrusive with every single day. Don’t sit idly by waiting for it to get out of control. Once this happens, its removal will be much more difficult. Act now! This is the best course of action you can take.

What are the consequences of the hijacker`s presence in your system? Not good, that’s for sure. For starters, your browsing experience changes significantly and not for the better. You cannot even make a single online move without disruptions. As soon as you open your browser, you get redirected to the Chrome-extension-downloader.club site or another just as suspicious one. You are not able to visit your favorite sites anymore.

Your browser struggles to display content correctly. If you somehow manage to load the page you actually wanted, it is covered with ads. Yes, the hijacker also generates ads which block the content of the pages. You see banners, deals, coupons, offers, in texts, pop-ups, video ads, etc. and etc. Additional tabs open all the time. Texts turn into hyperlinks which lead to shady domains. It is a nightmare.

The nasty extension effectively demolishes your previously normal and enjoyable web surfing. But there is more. You are also constantly exposed to malware risk. These ads and pages you are forced to see are not verified. Most of them are even corrupted and deliver malware. You are not able to tell the safe ones apart from the corrupted ones and if you click on the wrong one, you get infected with more pests.

Do you see how the hijacker makes you avoid using your own machine? Not going online is safer. But this cannot go on forever. You need your PC and you need it infection-free. Fortunately, we provide a detailed easy-to-follow removal guide at the end of this article which you can use to help you get rid of this intruder. But act fast. The longer the pest stays, the more problems it causes. Cut its stay as short as possible and everything will get back to normal.

How to protect yourself from future infections? These extensions are usually spread via malicious JavaScript code found on compromised pages. These pages do not let you leave them unless you agree to install the extension. If you don’t, you cannot close the page. In such situation what you should do is use your Task Manager to close your browser and then start a new session. Do not agree to install an extension you know nothing about. More often than not, such plugins are unwanted and dangerous. Close your browser using Task Manager and save yourself tons of future problems.
